L’Action des volontaires pour la solidarité et le Développement "AVSD" a organisé en septembre dernier une campagne de sensibilisation des parents et des enfants sur la récolte des biens (cartables, cahiers, ardoises, souliers, habits) que leurs enfants ne portaient plus. Cette collecte visait à donner à des enfants orphelins ciblés dans trois orphelinats les plus démunis dans les extrémités de la ville de Goma les biens collectés, une façon d’appuyer d’une manière ou d’une autre l’éducation et le bien être de ces enfants dans des situations d’extrême pauvreté. Une tâche pas du tout aisée car il fallait tout d’abord montrer aux parents que ça ne vaut pas la peine de brûler ou jeter les habits de leurs enfants sous prétexte que s'ils les donnaient aux pauvres, ces derniers porteraient les ‘’étoiles’’ de leurs enfants. Après plusieurs sensibilisations, les parents ont commencé à amener d'eux-mêmes les biens au bureau de l’AVSD et d’autres personnes de bonne volonté appelaient sur téléphone pour les récupérer. Le jour arriva, l’AVSD est allée remettre ces biens collectionnés aux orphelins à Mugunga. S’il y a plus de joie à donner qu’à recevoir dit-on, l’AVSD a partagé cette joie tout en remerciant ceux et celles qui se sont sacrifiés en donnant à ces enfants un sourire. Les membres de l'AVSD en plein partage sur les valeurs morales avec les Enfants Orphelins - Photo : AVSD L'équipe de l’AVSD a également partagé une collation avec les enfants et leurs responsables, une façon pour nous de montrer le genre de solidarité que nous prônons. Cet acte hautement louable, ne pourrait être possible si vous ne vous étiez pas mis dans la peau de ces pauvres enfants, merci de l’avoir fait…
