Grace aux plaidoyers de l’AVSD; un enfant malade trouvé dans la prison de Goma avec sa maman incarcérée, est sorti pour des soins appropriés

A l’issue de la journée du 16 juin 2019, jour dédié à l’enfant africain sous le thème les droits de l’enfant avant tout ; les nourrissons vivant avec leurs mères dans la prison centrale de Goma ont bénéficié des actes de naissance, mais également l’Action des Volontaires pour la Solidarité et le Développement a effectué une série des plaidoyers, lesquels plaidoyers ont abouti à une mise en liberté provisoire d’une femme de nationalité Burundaise détenue pour des raisons d’enquêtes afin que son enfant bénéficie des soins appropriés. Une étude faite par AVSD en Mars 2019, portant sur: «Evaluation des conditions carcérales des Enfants en conflits avec la loi dans l’établissement de garde et d’éducation d’enfant ainsi que les nourrissons vivant avec leurs mères en milieu carcéral» a déploré des mauvaises conditions de détention mais également le manque des soins de santé appropriés pour des enfants malades. SHIMIRIMANA YUSUFU, enfant de sexe masculin né des parents de nationalités Burundaises détenues pour des raisons d’enquêtes; celui-ci naquit dans la prison avec des malformations au niveau de la tête, lesquelles malformations se seraient développées jusqu’à un stade avancé suite aux mauvaises conditions carcérales offertes aux femmes et leurs enfants dans la prison MUNZENZE à Goma. Apres la visite de l’Action des Volontaires pour la Solidarité et de Développement, une série des plaidoyers s’en est suivie auprès des partenaires del’AVSD mais également des messages en termes de SOS sur des chaines des radios locales et nationales appelant à venir en aide pour la mère de SHIMIRIMANA YUSUFU pour que ce dernier ait accès aux soins de santé nécessaires. C’est ainsi que l’ONG OCP, ouvrant dans la défense des droits humains s’est imprégné de la situation de l’enfant s'est investi pour la mise en liberté de sa maman et de prendre en charge ses soins médicaux.
