Goma : marathon de la société civile santé/Nord-Kivu avec des organisations membres pour lutter contre la Covid-19

Ce vendredi 04/ Septembre 2020, un marathon a servi d’une campagne de sensibilisation et de plaidoyer sur la Covid 19 à Goma au Nord-Kivu. Membres de la société civile Santé/Nord-Kivu - Photo by : AVSD-COMM En collaboration avec la société civile santé et les organisations partenaires, l’Action des volontaires pour la solidarité et le développement (AVSD), a pris part au marathon organisé afin de sensibiliser la population de Goma sur le respect strict du port des masques, la distanciation physique ainsi que le lavage systématique des mains afin lutter contre la propagation de la maladie à Coronavirus Pour la société civile Santé, cette marche organisée a servi d’une campagne de grande envergure afin de sensibiliser et de faire un plaidoyer sur la lutte contre le coronavirus auprès des autorités provinciales. Signalons ici que la ville de Goma, au Nord-kivu occupe la deuxième place après la ville province de Kinshasa en termes des contaminations à la Covid-19. A travers différentes sensibilisations, la population de la province du Nord-Kivu fut appelée à apprendre à vivre avec la Covid-19 en respectant les mesures barrières. A l’issue de la marche, ces différentes organisations de la société civile ont fait un plaidoyer auprès du gouverneur avec différentes propositions axées sur les suivis des mesures prises et plusieurs autres stratégies pour éradiquer la pandémie. Cette activité a été jugée très satisfaisante au vue des réactions de la population sensibilisée. Une série d'activités est également envisagée par cette structure citoyenne ce même mois de Septembre à Béni, Butembo, Masisi et Goma, ainsi que la formation sur la Covid-19 des acteurs communautaires qui seront affectés dans les aires de santé pour récolter les cas suspects, les décès communautaires, pour les remonter ainsi qu'assurer le suivi de cas contacts dans une période de 6(six) mois.
